The event celebrated the renewal and 10th anniversary of the CREEi, highlighting its contributions to the study of intergenerational dynamics. A retrospective of achievements, a panel discussion on public policies, and a convivial reception marked this memorable day.

The colloquium addressed topics concerning monetary policy and economic growth in Quebec, discussing changes in targets, the role of public policies, and incorporating feedback from speakers and the audience.

This event offered a unique blend of cutting-edge political and academic perspectives, shedding light on one of the most pressing challenges of our time. It featured nine presentations covering a wide range of topics related to inequalities and poverty, spanning empirical, theoretical, and quantitative approaches. The conference concluded with a roundtable bringing together experts and participants for in-depth dialogue and exploration of potential solutions.

This event at the Cirano addressed the economic, sociological, and political challenges posed by the aging population in industrialized countries, including Quebec and Canada, emphasizing the need to improve long-term care and support programs for the elderly. Renowned researchers examined issues such as necessary policy solutions, available financial resources for the elderly and their caregivers, preferences for care, and the psychological and financial consequences for caregivers.
