Short Summary:
This paper investigates how Italian labour market institutions influence business cycle fluctuations. Among other results the authors find that labour market relaxation policies have only marginally contributed in shrinking unemployment throughout the sample period. The authors urge policymakers to support additional changes in labour market institutions.
