SimGen can be used to produce very useful demographic distributions for research or teaching. The results of the simulations make it possible in particular to analyze the economic consequences of the size and structure of the Quebec population. SimGen was used, for example, as input for the SimFin model, which made\u00a0it possible to make projections for Quebec public finances.
