Presentation on excess mortality during the first wave

On March 16, as part of QICSS’ Midis-Webinaire, Yann Décarie, research associate at RSI, gave a presentation on the results of a study on excess mortality during the first wave of COVID-19. This study, the CREEi working paper 20-08 that he co-wrote with Pierre-Carl Michaud, shows that most of the differences in mortality between British Columbia and Quebec are in excess mortality in institutions (long-term-care centres and nursing homes).
